Q: Disequilibrium, Pain Around Eyes And Nose, Sour Mouth, Help

My mother has three symptoms:

1. Disequilibrium (no balance when she walks; has to hold onto something to prevent falling sensation)

2. She has severe pain around her eyes and around nose.

3. Her mouth is very sour. Sometimes she can't even touch her own lips with her tongue.

(she also has tremor in her hands when she feels really bad, but it's not visible. She is describes it as if her body is shaking).

She was seen by many doctors and many tests have been done and nobody has a clue about what's wrong with her. She has been really suffering for 3 years with this and it's getting worst.

Mri show no sinusitis.
2 out of 3 blood tests showed hyperactive thyroids (little above normal level), but her physician doesn't think it's a problem.

Last blood test showed h-pylori and fa factor (don't know what it means).

Her physician prescribed her prevpac, but she took a set of the same medicine 2 years ago and symptoms didn't disappear.

Any help or advice would be a saver.

She was seen by ent, neurologist, 3 physicians, was in emergency room and no help.

Please help....

What Is It
Sounds just like ,me for years!
First of all, she has sun sensitivity, also it sounds like she is dehydrated and has a b-vitamin deficiency that is causing geographic tongue and or glossitis.
All of these are pointing to covert symptoms of lupus, but if this is all you have no doctor will take you seriously.

First, you need to start writting down every symptom. Go to the lupus forum and see if these other things sound like they make things fall into place. If not, I can help with the burning mouth syndrome, get vitamin b complex with 100% all b's, take it twice a day. If you don't need it it won't hurt you. It will take a couple weeks. Also, drink powerade or gaterade it replaces electralites. Next you need to start wearing sunscreen daily, at least 30.

Ask for a lupus panel

good luck

Geographic Tongue
Check into chinese medicine, it sounds like a "yin deficiency" symptom. Stomach ulcers can be another symptom, as well as hot flashes, gnawing hunger, restlessness, night sweats and geographic tongue. Herbs and acupuncture can help!
