Q: Septated Cyst

Hello,

i was recently sent for and ultrasound by my doctor. It has shown up a thick walled septate cyst (don't know the size but quite big I believe). I am due to have my right ovary removed next week as a result of this. I have also had an mri scan but havent been given any results of this. I keep reading that malignant cysts are septated with thick walls. Does this mean I pretty much have oc or is there still a good chance of it being benign? I am 29, I have 1 child and no family history as far as I know.

Had operation 4 weeks ago and have had letter today saying that histology showed 'nothing to worry about'. I am so relieved, wanted to post these results to try and offer support to anyone else going through this.

Nervous
I've been having terrible pains in my abdominal region... A missed period and my belly is so swollen that I can't fit into any of my pants.. It's so bad that I look about 6 months pregnant and i'm not pregnant at all.. Last year I was told I had a little cyst due to being pregnant and never bothered having it looked at afterwards... Now my doctor's telling me the cyst I didn't bother have looked at is probably very large judging by the symptoms i've been having. Out of curiosity could this be ovarian cancer?
