I know there are a lot of woman out there that can relate to what I am going through. I really want a baby, but getting prego isn't as easy as I thought it would be. We have been trying for about 10 months now, w/ no luck. It's very stressful and depressing. I have read so many things about what to do and ways to help, but nothing seems to be working. I have heard that it's a good idea to lay down for about 20 minutes after having sex? Well I guess what I need is some advice and maybe to meet some other woman that are going through the same thing that I am.
Thanks

Yes, the nurses where I work say to lay down for 20 minutes after. That's what we have our patients do after artifical insemination.

Are your cycles regular or irregular?

Yes, the lay down for 20 minutes after sex is good advice, also try the missionary position, it's a great position for getting sperm to the destination!

Hi there,
my husband and I have been trying for 4 months now, possibly going on 5 months. I've read so many articles, online info and logged onto chat lines, such as this one, to find out what is the best way possible to become pregnant (other than the obvious).

This month, i've been using the ovulation kit. This tells me when I have lh surges and when I will be ovulating and when is the best time to conceive. I am hoping that this month will be successful.

It may sound funny, but my husband and I are way into getting pregnant. I mean, two nights ago I was really tired, but it was that time of month to really try. So, even though i'm exhausted we're both into trying whatever and whenever it takes to get pregnant.

Often, I too would be depressed and saddened when my period arrives. But, with high hopes and faith, it'll happen soon.

Were you on the pill, and for how long? I just got off the pill in dec 2004 - and I heard it may take up to a year to get pregnant. If after a year you're not pregnant, then go see your physician. They'll maybe help you better determine when you are most fertile (and keep track of each period you have.)

hope this helps - and not to be selffish, but when speaking all of this, it kind of motivates me to have high hopes.

Good luck!

Try standing on your head after. I tried for a year with my second child, then I stood on my head and it worked! I am trying now and am using the Dr. Jonas method. Check it out, it might be helpful!!

I have heard that yes "standing on your head after" man on top sex works -- you can place your head on the floor beside your sofa and have the rest of your body on the sofa for comfort. The thing to focus on is having your legs and pelvis up.

Most important too is the ovulation kit for the timing because you have to be ovulating to get pregnant, right?
Good luck to everyone! Smile
