No, no one goes to jail for trying to commit suicide, but if they are caught doing so (and not successful) then they are put into an institution of some sort against their will, medicated against their will (or whatever else the psychiatrists deem necessary) and not released until they can convince whomever is in charge that they don't want to die anymore. It isn't jail or even punishment per say, but really I don't see why a person doesn't have the right to take their own life. Don't get me wrong, I do think people who feel that way need and deserve help to at least see if there is a way for them to be happy, but if they decide that their isn't, then I don't think anyone has a right to stop them.

There were 2 conversations present here all along. Whether religion has a place within the abortion debate forum; and, once again the argument of bodily autonomy and equal protection under the laws. If you and everyone else, including myself, would like to once again return to either of those, I think it would be for the best.

Heres a thought would it not be more prudent to read the complete thing before posting a remark,your hyperbole and excuses notwithstanding it is clear that you are only pulling pro life but pro choice can say or do what they want,instead of having a pop at the last person why don't you go read who started it and have a word with them.No you won't do that though because it is usually steen or sandyallen or another pro choicer who starts it.You can come up with as many excuses as you want it still will not hide the fact that it is only pro life you wish to have a go at.
