Q: Don't Know For Sure!

I quit taking birth control during my period in december and then jan and feb did not have a period. I took two tests and both were positive? Is it possible they could have been false positives? Just wondering because I have had no pregnancy symptoms like I did with my first child.

Don't Know
Dear don't know, it is highly unlikely that your test results are false as the hormone which activates the test to a positive result is only present in the system during pregnancy. A negative result would be more likely to be an incorrect result as there are times during the early stages of pregnancy when this hormone is not powerful enough to be detected. Thus the test results show negative when in fact the woman in question is in fact pregnant.

You are pregnant it won't say postive if you weren't.....Maybe you're just in shock; were you planning on getting pregnant?
