I have ddd and spinal stenosis. I am 42y/o. I have had 2 surgeries, one a lamenectomy, which the doc left pieces of disc and they eventually cut a nerve root which resulted in foot drop and a second surgery to repair the nerve root. The neurosurgeon used what he called "surgeon's elmer's glue" to repair it..Lol!

Now, my question is...Night before last I awoke several times due to severe pain. Then, when I woke up yesterday morning, I was still in severe pain and I had numbness and tingling on the big toe and instep side of my right foot. My legs also felt heavy and weak when I tried to walk. I already had numbness on my right foot and outer calf area due to the foot drop, but this was on the other side of my foot and even on some of the part that is already numb. It was like it was asleep and when you touch it it gets that major buzzing feeling? That's the only way I know to describe it. Anyone who has foot drop will understand what I mean.

The numbness, tingling, and weakness subsided over the day. Now, I just have the severe pain in my back and right hip. I am wondering if maybe the nerve is messed up again? Or maybe just irritated because I did laundry that day. I know, laundry doesn't sound difficult. But when it's bending and lifting all day, it is. Lol!

I would welcome any opinions on this.
Thanks,
robin

I am sure that this is all due to the problem with the nerve but doing laundry is absolute torture on your body with a bad back!

Vacuuming and mopping and basic chores around the house are next to near immpossible for anyone in pain like that or back pain of any sort.
