Two days ago I ran out of medication and due to complications and events I simply couldn't find the time to get more tablets. I was surprised to find out that I felt great, super, ... Then this morning I went to fetch more tablets and took half a tablet in the morning. This afternoon I haven't been feeling as good as I was in the last two days.

Is it true that tegratol can also lead to attacks, and if so what are the chances or statistics of this happening

thanx! Robert from slovenia!

Some details:
in june 1994 I had an accident mountain climbing. A year and three months later I had my first attack. Since then I have been taking tegratol cr, which I have been cutting down slowly as time goes on.

Currently i'm taking 1/2 a tablet in the morning and half in the evening (of 400mg tablets) at the most. I'm doing pretty well and the aura effects or feelings are also becomming less and less. I have about three to four attacks a year, sometimes less. Great mall attacks!

Hey roberto, how are you doing?

One study in 39 children (aged 3 to 10 years) and 79 adults (aged 15 to 65 years) has indicated that carbamazepine elimination may be slightly enhanced in children. This data only suggests that children may require higher doses of carbamazepine (in mg/kg) than adults.

In case of exacerbation of seizures (becoming more sharp or severe), carbamazepine should be discontinued. A tolerance may develop to the action of carbamazepine after a few months of treatment and should be watched for.

Best wishes,
