This may be a dumb question, but I plan on taking multivitamins. Do vitamins have any effect on birth control? Reading the question about the antibiotic made me think twice, so I just thought i'd make sure.

Hey!
I was wondering the same thing, I just started the patch, but I have been on birth control for over 4 years. I just recently bought multivitamins by olay( I didn't know they made vitamins) but I haven't taken them yet because they are huge and I don't think that I could swollow them, but also I don't know if they would interact? I think that other medicine's like prescriptions could interact with birth control and make it less effective, but I don't think vitamins would, but then again I am not a doctor, but next time I go there, I will ask.

Uh Oh!
Your not supposed to take echinacea with the pill ( well the patch) ? Because I took echinacea the first day I started the patch. I didn't know it was bad to take both of them together. What can happen do you know? Or should I ask my doctor cuz i'm on the patch not the pill?

Yeah ask your doctor. You might be fine but the only thing it does is interfere with being birth control. Like you might have a chance on being pregnant. But thats with my sis on the pill so ask your doc.

Hello,

i've been trying to find information on this all week & have finally arrived here. I've been taking women's one a day for 2 months now & have just noticed how different my periods are. I always get my period on the thursday that I stop taking my pills & last month I got it on sunday & this month I got it on saturday. I've been going crazy wondering if this is an effect of the combination. Should I be concerned??

Thanks!!

I dont think you should be. You cant always count on it to show up on the same day no matter how long it did it before. Its not programmed like that. Just because they were on a different day shouldnt be much to worry about. If you are, then you can check with your doc about the pills altering the days.
