Q: Got Any Brand Recommendations?

Hey everyone. :)

for the past 15 months i've been taking b/c pills. I was on ortho tri cyclen lo for quite awhile then I switched to alesse. I was always getting breakthrough bleeding on ortho despite how I took it regularly everyday, so my doctor put me on alesse. However, alesse gives me the worst pms and makes me feel really depressed. I figured those side effects would lessen as time went by, but they haven't. I've been on it for quite awhile now.

Anyway, i'll be due for a checkup soon, so i'm curious to know what pills you all have been on and if you've happened to find a brand that doesn't make you a moody, irritable mess. I know the pills don't work the same for everyone, but I thought i'd check anyway. I'm desperate to find one that doesn't turn me into a psycho for 2 weeks each month. I hate feeling grumpy all the time.

Thanks!
Nicole

Nordette
I have been on alot of different pills, 4 actually. I have found some I hate, and one I love. Nordette is the cure for all of your problems. Try it out!

I am on yasmin 28, and have been for about 2 years. As far as I can tell, I have had no bad side effects, and my cramps are way less than they were before I started the pills. But i've seen posts on here from people who hated yasmin. I think its just going to depend on your body. I just got lucky and the first brand I tried has worked for me so far.

Yeah, those are both good ones (i take yasmin). Definitely talk to your doctor - he or she can help you make a decision about what would be best for you. They know all about the side effects and stuff. Good luck!
