I'm 15 and I haven't had my period since last summer. At first I wasn't worried, but now I am! I have told my mom this but she thinks it's normal,(maybe a little worried) but I want other ppl's view of this. I have told one of my friend's mom this and she said it might be from stress.
Please help me!!

Okay so I have a few things to say about this. I just went to my doctors for the same thing pretty much. I have heard on two seperate occations of women who dont have their peiod for such a long time and it was all caused by cervical cancer. (not trying to scare you!!!)
last summer I had a period in june than the next period I had was in december. Than after that period I didnt have one until just this week. When I went to the doctors she said it is not at all healthy for you to skip your period more than 3 mths in a row. Unless of course it is monitored by your doctor or you are on a certain type of birth control that doesnt allow you to have them. In any case you should really speak to your mother and let her know that you would feel much more at ease if you went to see your doctor. You are so young, you dont want to mess anything up for the future just because you never went to the doctors. I am now on birth control pills which will regulate my period. Even though you might not be sexually (i hope not you are so young still) active you might want to start taking birth control. (of course you would have to talk to your doctor for that). If you dont have any sort of medical coverage; try going to planned parent hood, if you have one near you. They will provide you with the care you need at no cost.
I am not sure if any of this will help you or not, but I hope you at least go and see a doctor to see what is wrong with your body.
Good luck to you and take care of yourself.

Hey hun
first of all don't stress it can be from a number of things. Have you lost lots of weight gained lots of weight, are you going through losts of strss?? Either way I would definitly get checked out. Have you been to a gyno before or a pap smear?? I hadn't till this year and I was so nervous (i'm 20) it wasn't as bad as I thought it was goingto be mine was because I hadn't had my period since jan 04 and for like 2 days of spoting. The way I see it as i'd rathr know whats up even if its bad then let my imagination dream what could be up! (and believe me I have a wild imagination) well anyway let us know how everything goes.
