Q: Period On the Hormone Pills?

My girlfriend got her period the other day and she still had 2 hormone pills left before the "sugar week." the next day she took her pills as normal and the period stopped that night, thus it only lasted about 30 hours or so. Now she's been on the sugar pills for 2 days and hasn't gotten her period. Has anyone ever had this happen or heard of it happening? We're both kind of confused as to what's goin on.

Something similiar happened to me when I started taking alesse. My first period came early and it lasted less than 2 days much like your girlfriend. Don't panic if she's been taking her pills regularly and at the same time everyday... I know that if I don't take mine at the same time everyday, I end up with breakthrough bleeding.
