Q: Smoking irritation... I hope

I've recently taken up and dropped smoking all within a few days (decided to stop before any real addiction set in, haven't wanted a ciggarette all day), and last night after I had been smoking heavily for the past few days, I noticed many small pinkish-white bumps in my throat which appear to go all the way down it and a few in my mouth.... I asked my gf and she said she got something similar to that when she started smoking. Is it common to get irritations like that when you first smoke? thanks.

Sorry, wanted to add something but I can't find edit.... I've only been sexually active with her anytime recently, but I was with her a good week before I noticed anything... I didnt see them til yesterday which was the same time I started smoking really badly, I really need some kinda answer but I can't find it and I can't make it to the doctors office for a while. Thanks.

The only advice I have to give is stay away from that nasty habit. Let that "irritation" be a sign to stop.
