Does anyone know if I have to get my mouth numb to have the permanent crowns put on? I don't want to do anything that would hurt the baby. I just barely found out that I was pregnant and already feel queasy and wonder how they are going to work on my mouth without me getting sick! How long does it take to put the permanent crown on?

Call your dentist and tell her/him that you are pregnant .It may be possible to have the crowns seated without anesthetic, depending on your pain tolerance and if the tooth has a root canal, you will definately not need any numbing.Your dentist may want to talk with your ob/gyn to get clearance for anesthetic. If needed.Just tell your dental office ahead of time so they can plan what is best for you.Good luck with your pregnancy!!
