Q: Testicular Pain
asked by: JohnnyDewy on March 13th, 2005

Started a few days ago;

one of my testicles hurts - could be more painfull but very annoying and if it's not placed properly: unbareable. At first I thought it would just go away - and sometimes I forget it. (been about 4-5 days) but it's really worrying me and very annoying. I also noticed that the one that hurts is lower then the other. Nothing interesting has happened down there in the past week.. :p

i would not be comfortable going to see a doctor unless I know I have to.

(i do run around naked alot.. Which is not a good idea I guess :p. Also, I wear loose boxers)

please help :)

Active User, very eHealthy
It is very possible that you have something called "epididimitus" that is an infection and swelling of the epididimus and can be easily treated with anti-biotics.

I have chronic problems with that and since they changed my treatment from e-mycian to tequin 400 I have not had a problem with this. (since december)

it very well could be something much worse like a "torsion" where the testicle twists inside the scrotum and cuts off the blood supply or even possibly testicular cancer.

When it comes to my tools, I go to the doctor asap! Pain down their can mean death and a very painful one at that!

Well I searched for bumps and nothing. It only hurts when my sack is not tight enough.

I'll go see a doctor if I see a bump or if this lasts - don't want some stranger touching (or observing :o) me unless I have to :p

edit: it's also worth noting that I walk about an hour a day in the cold (quebec), and i've had a cold ~ since it hurts down there.. :?

Varicocele
You might have a varicocele. Its a varicose vein near your testicle. It will make your testicle hang and causes discomfort. Wear boxer briefs or tight underwear. Stay away from alcohol and caffeine and go see your doctor.
