My parents told me that if I was a boy I would have been jared wayne (wayne is my dad's name). They found out that I was a girl and my name was alison kathleen, and they were going to call me ali cat as a nn. Yikes!!!!!!! I would have sounded like a stripper or hooker with a nn like that! Thankfully they changed their mind a right after I was born. I am named meredith after my grandma's maiden name, and ann after my dad's aunt who he had a crush on when he was 7 lol!!! Anyways, I am sooooo thankful they changed their mind. My bro and sis were sooo confused!!! My parents brought them in and said meet your new little sister, meredith. My sister was like, who?, I think ya'll have the wrong one! Anyways, did anyone else have a close call like that too?

My mother wanted to name me rhiannon lee...Lee after her (sharilee) and rhiannon after the name of a girl in a book she was reading while she was pregnant...The name is bad enough but the girl in the book was the killer! The bad guy!! And she wanted to name me after her

i was supposed to be guinevere after queen guinevere. But dad hated it, so she said I would be jenny (that was the queen's nickname) but he didn't want a daughter with a nickname, so I was jennifer, but they always called me jenny

If I was a boy my parents were going to name me joseph wyatt. Thank god I was a girl! My mom had planned to name me jolene but while my mom was in labor my dad was being read his miranda rights (the hospital had to call the cops after my dad refused to go outside for a cigarette) hence my name being miranda. It started out as a joke but my parents decided they actually really liked the name. Personally I like jolene better but I like having an interesting story regarding my name.

I was named after the movie xanadu...If anyone has ever seen it...Wow! Oliva newton john was the star in it...Her name was kira...So my mom decided she like it and my name is kira michelle...And I absolutely love my name...I wish I could name my daughter after me!!! Hahahah :)

If I were a boy.. All I know is that I would have been called ashley.. No idea why think it were just a name they liked! So glad I wasn't a boy!!

My mom wanted to name me marika (mah-ree-kah). Thankfully my father wanted to name me kimberly (my mom only liked kim. But he got to the birth certificate papers before her...Lol) so now my name is kimberly juliana (juliana is after my dads neice or something who died as a kid from cancer). And yes juliana is french (i get that all the time). I am soooooo thankful I am not a marika. How horrid (sorry if you like the name there isn't anything wrong with it really, just not to my liking).

What Would Your Name Have Been If....

My mom always told me that if my brother had been a girl his name would have been amanda kay ( after a little girl that she knew and kay after my great grandmother), but instead he was named brandon micheal( micheal after my grandfather). When I was born my mom didn't have a boys name picked out for me because she knew that I was going to be a girl and she named me margaret ann ( ann being after my grandmother and my mother) and ann will be my child's middle name, if I ever get pregnant.

Mine would be nicholas if I was a boy. My name is chrystal sue. I hate the name sue for my middle name. I supposedly named after my grandma, except her name was ruth! They just called her sue. O well.

my mum wanted to call me and my twin sister sara and kara. But they decided on crystal and jessica.

I was going to be named after my father(which he didn't deserve) michael andre...The name isn't too bad since I got the opposite michelle andrea.

If I would have been a boy my parents wanted to call me cody which is not bad, but I was a girl, so they saved that name for my brother.

To be honest I have never asked what I would have been called if I was a boy! But they decided on sharleen evelyn for me. I have asked where they got my name from and they just tell me that they saw it and liked it!! Evelyn is the same as my nans middle name!!

I'm assuming it would have started with an "sha" considering my older siblings names are sharmaine and shane!!Lol

I have 4 names my last name. Don't know what I would've been named as a boy, but they wanted to name me élianore (french for eleanor) or maxine. U.G.H. Thank god they decided on marie elisabeth jessica-liane I get called jessica. (not my fave name but a hell of a lot better than élianore!

When my mother was pregnant with me, she insisted on calling me stormy, my father and even the doctor told my mother that they didn't think it was nice and should think of another name, and my mohter told them that is what she would be calling me no matter what.

Well I was a long term pregnancy and my mother was pregnant with me for 10 months.

Anyway she went to the hospital once a week for a whole month and the doctor said that I wasn't ready.

So the last time she went when she had me they were all hoping that I was going to come, so they called me hope.

A pretty cool story if it is true or not.
