Q: Skin Pain

I'm experiencing discomfort in the skin nerve endings on the
left side rib area. This condition has persisted for 7 days. The
affected area has no muscle soreness, but is sensitive to touch
and motion in the skin area only. I could guess this might be
shingles, but no sign of rash or blisters is present. What else
might this be ?

I get this kind of thing also and don't know what it is. Sometimes it can last up too a couple of weeks and it's usually on my face - just sore, sensitive skin that is painfull to touch.
Usually it just goes away on it's own , I have never investigated it further.
