I don't know what category to go into, what forum
but someone mentioned cutting in this forum

i have scars from years ago of cutting, I don't want to wear long sleeve shirts for the rest of my life

i don't have money, I don't know how I can have them less noticable
some kind of skin grafts or something

does anyone know any info re: this

i am not the same person, but I am reminded, every waking moment...

I don't know what to do about them, too many years , I am done looking at them.

Thanks a million

They have scare minimizers over the counter for cheap at the pharmacy and even places like walmart... Those might help a little bit. Maybe you could even try a stretchmark reducer? Worth a shot if it's not too expensive.

Bio-Oil
go try searching up bio-Oil . they are some kind of oil in a bottle and you rub it on where you have scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging and dehydrated skin. But it may take 3 months of using bio-Oil until the your scars actually disappear. i wish you the best of luck, i am also trying to heal from cutting myself. good luck!(:

You can make the scars less noticable with creams or make-up but you're likely to allways see them. If you really want to not have them on your body I expect plastic surguery is the only solution. Save-up, consult with a general practitioner about what can be done.

Sara, I know how difficult this is especially with your past history of abuse but you do need to stop taking it out on yourself by cutting. Be glad that your molester is locked up for his horrible crime against you and know that this was not your fault..don't take it out on your body. You don't want to end up with the scars of the original poster..You don't want to have to explain them some day to boyfriends, husband, children...You need to learn to care for yourself and your body...I hope you are seeking help from a therapist or psychologist to get through this and if you are not, then do so as soon as possible. The sooner you seek help the sooner you will feel better about yourself..You know cutting yourself is a total disrespect for your body. Many people cut because of the emotional pain and I know this because I used to be one of them..If you would like, you can PM me. Also, since the question was asked..Vit E oil or cream is good for scars..I was lucky enough to stop before mine got noticable. I would never want my kids to know that I self-injured myself.
