My hand started to get sore under my pinkie finger, then went to my whole hand ( which was swollen by the next day), then had pains shooting from my wrist to my elbow, and a feeling of no circulation in my arm and hand?????? First Dr. Says possible carpal tunnel, next Dr. Says it's all in my head. At one point my hand had turned purple, and now over 2 weeks later I still have the same pains in arm and hand but Dr. Refuses to do any other tests aside from the blood tests he had done.

Cts Generally Does Not Cause Skin Color Change
It could be reflex sympathetic dystrophy (rsd in your hand), but you have to see your neurologist or hand specialist to confirm the diagnosis.

Most of rsd cases have traumatic injury history, but not all of them.

Symptoms include: pain, swelling, stiffness, disuse, color and temperature changes in affected extremety (hand or leg). It is very sensitive to any touch even the wind blow. Sometimes this diagnosis is controversial.

Narcotic drugs or ganglion block may be benefit sometimes.

Please tell us what is the diagnosis after you visit the specialist.

Good luck,
