I've just recently started using alesse (natural hormone/low dose) birth control pill and was curious to see if anyone is on it, or has used it in the past? I'm concerned because after a little less than two weeks of being on the pill, my period started. The flow was small at first with just brown discharge, but after the second week was over it turned into a regular heavy flow. This bothers me because i'm not expecting my period for about one full week... Also, I found out that I contracted chlamydia from my boyfriend sometime during our 5-month relationship. Could this be affecting my menstrual cycle? I do not have an appointment with my new ob/gyn until the 28th, so i'm curious to hear if this is serious enough for me to go push up my appointment?
