My girl friend just started birth control and she is on ovcon-35. I was just wondering if anyone has heard about it or is on it themselves. Any information would be great.

Thank you very much
jimmy

All I know about it is that it's the first chewable birth control. Actually, it can be swallowed or chewed. If she chews it she needs to drink a full 8oz glass of water immediately after so that the full dose reaches her stomach and no residue is left in the mouth. It contains the same ingredients as other bc pills.

Answer Your Question
Hi I just got a prescription of ovcon-35 and I start taking it on easter sunday. The lady at the women's clinic is on it. She is about 23 and she told me that this was a great pill and she has been on it. After I start taking it I could let you know of any side effects or anything. Kay. Bye

I just started taking it and have only had one instance of break through bleeding so far...I'm in my 3rd week of active pills right now...Does anyone know if breakthrough bleeding while on ovcon could be a sign of pregnancy? Thanks in advance for your response

It's not a sign of pregnancy. It's totally normal for this to happen during the first three months of beginning birth control. It can even happen if you switch brands.

This is my second month of ovcon-35. I haven't had many problems but about a week and a half after I started taking it I began to get sick but only in the mornings. I also began to spot for like 2 weeks on and off everyday until my period started.I have been taking my second month for a week and the sickness has almost completely went away and I haven't spotted. So haopefully everything is fine.

I have been on ovcon 35 for 9 years & there hasn't been a day I don't forget about it. It has worked excellent for me & hasn't given me any side effects. All I know is my "gyno" has told me to quit smoking since it can cause blood clots if you are on the pill & smoke. Other than that take it everyday and if you miss any pills read your instructions & it will tell you what to do if you missed one, two, or three pills. Good luck!

Please Give Me An Answer
I am on my last week of ovcon-35 for the second month and my period hasn't come on. It is two days late and I am not sure if it is normal. I spotted about 2 and a half weeks of taking the pill this month.
Thanks :?

Ovcon 35
I am currently taking ovcon 35. I have been on it for about six months. I was previoulsy on ovcon 50. I had no problems with ovcon 50. It is a higher dosage than ovcon 35. I had actually lost weight with it. I also lost weight when my doctor was put me on the dosage of 35. I am happy with the birth control I am on. I would stay on it as long as my doctor would let me.
