Is it possible for a food coloring used in a juice product to cause vomiting due to an allergic reaction?

I don't know specifically about vomitting, but I know you can have an allergic reaction to some food coloring.. I knew someone who was allergic to a certain red dye and had to avoid it.. But I don't know what his symptoms were.
