Q: Ortho Evra & Atkins

I have been on atkins for 2 weeks and for the first time in 2 years I am having an early period. Do you think they can be related? I have lost 9 lbs but I don't think that should matter. I do remember my doctor telling me that the patch wasn't as effective for women over 200 lbs (which i'm not anymore) but that has never been a factor. Any thoughts? :?:
