The fear of labor goes away quite a bit with maturity....Although it is always scary

but it's just like everything else....Your scared and it may hurt but after your like "well it was not that bad"

you would be amazed at what us strong women can handle no matter at what age

the whole pooping on the thing goes away a bit with maturity also and it helps if you have a guy that you love and you know he will always love you no matter what.....I wouldn't be afraid to do that infront of my boyfriend because he makes me feel so confortable

It has nothing to do with maturity. I'm almost 26 and still nervous about it. My best friend just had her 2nd at 28 and she was still nervous. We both have wonderfull husbands. I think it's just normal to be nervous about having something that size coming out of you and the pain associated with it. But yes, it can't be that bad or people would never have more than 1 child.

No I agree that it never goes away but what I say trying to say is that adults are more capable to handle the thought of labor more then teen/children....They also tend to handle the pain better....

When I was a teen I didn't want to have kids because it scared me so much but now I would

maturity does help

It's Not That Bad...
I got pregnant at 16, had my son at 17. I was really scared then, and had read a lot thru out my pregnancy about birth and pain meds, etc etc.

I'll be totally honest. The epidural hurt almost as much as birth. Birth itself hurt, but was a lot more pressure than pain. And yes, you do poop all over the table lolz..This is because you're using all those lower muscles...

Over all birth is painfull, but not enough to horrify or traumatize you. After I had my son, I thought... Wow that was a lot, but there wasn't any lingering feelings of fear :)

Hey hun

dont be afraid there is so many options available to you, I was 20 when I gave birth to my little girl and I was terrified but at the same type I had so muc support from my mom and husband which made the labor alot easier. I went 100% natural but I dont recommend it to everyone, in the beginning it is really easy and not as painful but works it way up, when ur contractions are less than a minute apart and a minute long that was kind of painful.....

Get something to take some of the edge off and you will be fine, im expecting my son on feb 2 and I am once scared again but with my family being there it will be so much easier. Try and get your mom there I find with having people around that you know and not nurses the pain is alot easier my dad had me laughing through contractions lol!!

Remeber labor is only for a few hours and you do forget the worst of it after, just make sure you dont drink acidic drinks after like apple and orange juice because it burns when you go pee after the birth. Ask a nurse before you leave how to do basic care for your child, breastfeeding and perinatal care and it will actually help!!

Try and look forward to it instead of dreading it btw not everyone poops on the table, I didnt sometimes you do though, having a baby is literally like going for a caca so when they say push do it like your using the bathroom.

Wish you luck, if you need to talk pm me

I'm not going to lie to you, its pretty painful, but there are things you can do and take to minimuze the pain. Also make sure you have a support partner in the labour ward with you. All labours are different, mine went for 3 (long) hours and I had no drugs and I was screaming, but then when hayley was born I was like "what just happened" you forget what the pain is like when you hold your baby for the first time. Also, try not to stress to much coz it will upset you and your bubba.
Good luck with everything, let us know how you go. :)

Yeh...I just gave birth to my daughter on thanksgiving, after having braxton hicks for weeks, really bad ones...It's a huge relief when you finally begin labor...Cause even though it hurts really, really bad...You know the pain has a purpose...That was why the braxton hicks were so bad...I knew that even though they hurt...They weren't doing anything...Early labor lasted a long time...But I was in active labor form about noon untill 7:30pm...When I had her...Lol...I got an epideral at about 3...Water broke on it's own at about 6...When it broke I was 5 cm...Half an hour later I was fully dialated and pushing without realizing it...Lol...So labor was not long for me like everyone insisted it would be...The most horrible part of the whole ordeal was that I had to get an episiotomy...Which it absolutely horrible...But the birth didn't hurt me at all...Cause of the epideral of course...Really felt just like poopin...But out another hole of course...But...Yeh...Good luck!

Umm giving birth wasn't not painful what-so-ever to me! I was induced and was given a epidural as soon as they started the pitocin so I have never felt a real contraction in my life! Okay well they only thing that was wrong was the cord was wrapped around ryan's neck twice and when he was inside of me his heart rate kept going down. He was also facing up towards the celiling instead facing the floor so I could not push him out .. Every time I pushed he would go down then slide back up there he was delevered with forcepts and was a healthy 7 lb 4 oz little boy. With this one I am going to wait to go into labor and have an epidural when it gets close to time to push I desperatly want to feel something. With ryan I didn't feel a thing and the doctors had to tell me when to push. I want to feel like I accomplised something is it crazy that I want to feel pain? And as for the baby breaking your tail bone.. I have never heard of that. To me that has to seem like a big baby to do that.. I am sure that your baby is going to be mine. I was sooo scared that I was going to give birth to a stillborn baby when I sat around and thought about it at home but honestly everything went so fast in the delivery room there was no time to think about it .But I will tell you after you give birth down below is so swollen and sooo sore I wouldn't hardly get out of the bed the 3 days I was in the hospital but you need to.. The more you move around the better you feel trust me.

Also you probably won't poop when you push they give you an enema if you didn't take care of business at home. And if you did so what? There is a whole lot nastier things that come our with the baby he may not even noticed that you used the bathroom. And for the peeing... They put a calther in.

Hey,

some people actually break the tail bone while giving birth, I did and I didnt even know it I just told the nurse I felt like I had been hit by a truck, I had back pain for about 2 months after but no epidural. Nurse poked at my back for a few minutes and said its normal has nothing to do with babys size elisa was 7lbs 12 oz it was more of stress on pelvic area. She said having a baby is like being throw into a boxing ring although I didnt have black eyes my moms arms was bruised where I was holding on to her and I dont even remeber lol!!

Likes brians baby said painful but in a weird way you do enjoy every minute of it, I had 4h30min labor but I dont think I could do the 24hrs labor thing I think I would have died lol!! If labor was so horribly painful woman wouldnt be having kids.................Somedays though I wish men could have a taste of it..

I just have never heard of the tail bone thing..Lol.. Must suck. I know I had a lot of pain afterwords being swollen and stuff not to be disgusting but my vagina lips where like 3 inches down from where they where supposed to be. Now after 8 months my pelvic bone still pops someimes and hurts like heck when it does. I guess it takes a while to fully heal your body goes through so much somethings never are the same. Yay I am gonna get to experience this again..Lol... :)

Yeah I know the swelling feeling and I thinks thats one thing im not looking forward to, hubby laughed when elisa came out, he shared what he saw cause I didnt exactly see what was going on down their and thank god....

Anyways hubby said the babys head was kinda flat when crowning and inflated upon being in air, I couldt stop laughing after and well another things I dont miss is urine incontinence(peeing because ur muscles down there are stretched. Just make sure you do kegals before and after birth they actually stregthen the muscles down under and help just take it easy

When pregnant with ryan and after I had good control over my bladder function I never wet myself. I was actually suprised b/c I heard of all this pregnant women doing that. But now good grieif I sneeze and then I have to change my undies. I guess that is b/c it is so soon after my last so I am not going to enjoy that part I do kegels but they haven't quit worked yet...Lol.. Daniel (my hubby) he was scared when ryan was crowning he thought that the top of his head was his face so he thought he was deformed. I thought something was wrong b/c he looked away and had a worried face. Later he told me what he was thinking. I felt a little sorry for him b/c he wasn't able to enjoy his son coming into the world b/c of that. But for me I wasn't able to really enjoy it b/c I was in labor for 12 hours and I was throwing up like ever 15 minutes I even had to quit pushing to use the bed pan. The epidural made my blood pressure drop and that made me sick. Oh well now I look back and I don't think I had a bad delivery dispite the things that went wrong with it.
