Hello ladies, and i'm sure, gentlemen.

Little question here.

I always seem to have questions about conception, good lord.
Anyway, planning on having a little "visit" with a "friend" on march break. Just so happens im going to be on my period that week.

I've been on birth control for over a year, never missed a pill, blah blah blah.

Does that entail that if I have sex while on my period, not only are my chances of pregnancy generally low, but also even lower because I won't be ovulating until another 21 days has gone by due to my pill?

I'll probably still use a condom, but I just thought it'd be nice to know, incase a spur of the moment event happens.

You're covered during your period too, but I heard that you can go straight to the new pack and skip your period. Idk, maybe call your doc and ask about that. Sex isn't really that great on your period.

Even though I never liked the idea of sex during my period it sounds like you'll be ok as long as you stick to the instructions for whatever pill you're taking. And be careful about those "spur of the moment" things cuz my bf and I always used condoms except for like 2-3 times, and now i'm 25 weeks pregnant from one of those "sperm of the moment" things.

I used to model when I was younger and I played a lot of water sports. My doc told me it was okay to continue with my pills (the non-sugar ones) if I wanted to skip a period. It's ok to do it one in a while not all the time though. Maybe think of doing that for spring break.
