I have a question my gf is on birth control. She takes her pill everyday but she has a hard time remembering to take it at the same time every day. Do you think it will really matter weather she takes it at 8pm or 11pm or midnight everyday???????? Thanks jimmy

I don't think it matters.. As long as she's close. Any time within a few hours time range she will be ok. Before I went on other forms of bc when I was on the pill... I would take it before I went to bed. And that could be anywhere from 10:30 to 1:00am!

I asked my clinician about that a long time ago and she said yes, it can have an effect. Some women are really sensitive to the hormones in birth control and if they don't take their pills at the same time every day, it can result in breakthrough bleeding. I take mine at 10 am every morning. However, if i'm about to get my period and I accidently take a pill at 1:00 pm instead of 10 am, my period unfortunately comes a few days early or I get breakthrough bleeding. But who knows, your g/f might be one of those lucky women who can take it any time of the day and it doesn't matter.
