My 8 yr old son who has unusual headaches has been told by neurologist that it may be thunderclap headaches. He has been prescribed neurontin to try. Not sure about this med because of all the controversial things I have read about it. Ruled out migraines and has had a neg ct w/o contrast. Kind of scared about this new diagnosis because it sounds like more testing should be done to rule out serious problems. His headaches last 10-15min, gets 1 - 2 daily. They have recently gotten more intense and are always on the left side of head, near temporal region. Has anyone had their child on this med? Diagnoised w/ this headache???? Help.
