Q: Anyone Know About....

Do any of you girls know about painless contractions? I have been having regular painless contractions since sunday night. It is now friday night. Almost a week!!!! They dont hurt but they are uncomfortable you know? Well they are like ever 6 mins or so. I went to the doctor and they said I was 2 cm and 50%......Do you think I will have any progress???? Please help im confused!!!

Probably not. I was 2 cm and 80% effaced from 36 weeks on.

I had those type of contractions for 3 months before actually going into labor. Yes tehy can end up dilating you, but chances are it'll go much slower than painful ones!! By the time I actually went into labor I was 5cm!! I did all I could to get labor going to!! Nothing worked!! I ended up 4 days over due as well!! Lol

This is all new to me so I don't know, but I have to admit I sure don't mind the whole idea of painless contractions. :lol:

I had painless contractions from the 27th of jan, through till the 1st of feb. They finally started getting painful after my waters broke on the 1st, but they didnt get really painful, till 20 mins before I had jay, on the 2nd at 1:24am.

Every birth is diffrent.

They are called tightenings and they can dialate, they do it really slowly though..........
