Hi everyone,
a couple of years ago I went on ortho-tricyclene... And at first only had very little side effects, threw up day after taking it... Then for 3 months I seemed fine, didn't notice anything. Then, while on my honeymoon, I started to get soooo sick, with horrible stomach cramping and pain, diareah (spelling?? Sorry!!) so bad that it was like water- litterally. (sorry tmi) and very bad morning sickness, also very full feeling after eating, could only eat a few bites... My weight crazy fluctuated because of the weeks I couldn't eat. I was too so many doctors, had so many blood tests and the only thing they came up with was.. Ibs. But there was no remedy, no matter what I ate the next day I would be so sick. I would actually miss work some days. And this went on for months and months. But for some reason , one of my friends suggested that it might be the birth control making me sick.. (thanks, doc's.. Would have liked that suggestion about a year sooner?!!) so I talked to my gyn and they suggested I go on a 'lo' pill. But before even starting it I got so fed up with being sick that I stopped the pills all together. Almost overnight, all the symptoms went away, except for the occasional if I eat something too fatty, then i'll get a little sick again. But this only happens once in a great while which hycosamine pills takes away the pain. So anyways, I have a 5 cm cyst, so my gyn wanted me to try bc again, I tried yasmin for 2 days and instantly the symptoms came back. So, now we're going to try the nuvaring... Now, you can wear a tampon w/ it and its still okay? Also, can u sit in a hottub with it in? Will it affect the hormones? And can u take it out temp. If its uncomfortable during sex? Also, what were the side effects? Thanks ladies for any opinions, thoughts or experiences! I appreciate it!! --- ash
