Is This Normal!
Posted: 11-01-03 00:06am

I have had mild morning sicknes from about 5 weeks until now.
I very rarely vomit unless I eat fruit or something sweet.
I'm now 10 week and for the last 3 days I have not gotten sick at all. I am very scared because I heard if your morning sickness stops before 12 weeks then you are going to miscarrage. Please if some one has had this happen please tell me I really want to have this child.

Hi kenya, you can relax, it is quite normal for morning sickness to stop and start anytime during pregnancy. My morning sickness stopped at 10 weeks, I am now 3 months pregnant and everything is going wonderfully. I had a miscarriage in may last year and I actually had no morning sickness at all. You are right in one respect, some women who are going to miscarry don't experience morning sickness because the placenta and hormones are not developing as they should. But everyone is completely different. I also had my daughter 13 years ago when I was 16 and experienced absolutely no morning sickness at all through the entire pregnancy, and she was born a very healthy child. Some women will get heartburn, some won't. We all just have to wait and see, kind of like a lucky dip, lol. As long as you are feeling well, then there is no reason to think anything is wrong. Symptoms of miscarriage are heavy vaginal bleeding with clots, abdominal pain along with severe lower back pain. Even a little spotting here and there during the first trimester is completely normal. So enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, and look after yourself, that's about all you need to worry about right now. Rest and relaxation will do you and bubby the world of good.

Good luck,

suzy

You will be fine. I was sick with my daughter for only 2 weeks and then it just stopped. I know it's hard not to worrry about everything but try to relax. Good luck and god bless

Thanks for the advice,
it's helps to know that someone else has experience the same thing and was ok. I havent had any bleeding so I guess i'll be fine. It's just I never know what to expect my first time and I hear every one elses horror stories and I get scared.
