How old was your baby before you let them go to a sitter? And how did you find your sister? Or do they go to day care? (well our day care wont take them till a year old)

Kylies only 3 months, I plan to stay at home with her until shes in preschool so I can spend all that time with her, and my boyfriend has a job that lets me do that, so thats what I do. But when I do go out and do stuff my mom watches her because even in this small town I don't trust people. I see those shows where babysitters abuse other peoples kids. This little boy here in alaska was 21 months old and his parents went out of town and the little boy stayed with "family" is all it said, and they beat him until he was in a coma, then he died shortly after. That story made me so sad. I just don't trust people.. At all.

As in full time so you can work, or just once in awhile when you want to get out? I'm staying home with cole, seeing it's not worht the money to put him in day care. As for getting a sitter for a night out, I did that when he was 3 months old....He's now going on 4 months.

Well I don't have kids but I have been a babysitter. I babysit my newph when he just 1 and 1/2 monthes old so my sister could back to work. But when her and her hubsand wanted a night alone she would bring her youngest son to me and her two oldest to her mother inlaw. So if you are wanting to go back to work after the baby is born. Maybe you should ask your mom. That is if she doesn't work.

Princess- if my fiance and I want to go out, im not going to work until shes in preschool, and then i'll work part time because preschoolers get out of school so early. I just don't want her in daycare, so my mom watches her.

The money for daycare would be my full paycheck. That's the only reason I won't do it. It'd be a waste of working and I don't have anyone of family that stays home like that.

I left my daughter with a sitter when she was two weeks old. I had been talking to girls in the neighborhood while I was preg. I don't work, so I don't know how I would go about full time care. I get sitters from my neighborhood, church, high schools. You can ask youth leaders and teachers for some good girls. If I get a good feeling from a girl at the grocery store, I just ask her if she babysits. Some people like/feel more comfortable to be with their baby 24/7. Not me, I go out a couple times a week. I even had one come on sat so I could take a long bath and a nap!!! Lol

Well I would love to stay home with her forever <3 but I have plans for our family, and I know I would have to work to achieve those goals. I dont need the money cause luis takes care of us (12-11 6 days a week) so I would basically work for her, cause there are special things I want her to have. I live in a small town, theres alot of druggies here, ive met a few good people, but I dont trust anyone, both our families work, and even though its their grandaughter, I would feel bad leaving her with them everyday, because shes not their responsibility. The day care is really cheap though, its only like $50 a week.

Well, my mom and I are kinda trading, thats why I have such a good deal with her. Plus shes obsessed with kylie, if she doesn't see her everyday she has withdrawls.

But maurice and I take my little brother (indigo) 3 days a week, sometimes even more (my moms going through a lot) and I make him his lunch, take him to school, and she pays me 50 dollars a night to watch him, so I get paid from her 150 a week and sometimes more. Like this week I got 250. So, it all works out. So if I were to get a job, she said we could trade off and i'd take indigo, and then she'll take kylie, so its nice.

The university I go to has a daycare and will take 3 month olds and up....The best part is I can get it all covered under financial aid and not have to worry about it :)
