Yup, it happened to me. I was on tri-cyclen 21 from when I was 14 to 18 and when I was 18 (took the pills religiously) and I still got pregnant.

I ended up miscarrying. But basically what my doctor told me is that they recommend changing birth control every so often because, just like with any other medication, your body can possibly start to build an immunity to the medication and it obviously won't do it's job anymore... I would switch to something different if I were you :)

good luck!

I'd have to say pretty much anything your not on right now...

I'm on alesse right now, which I was absolutely in love with until I started spotting for the past 11 days... But that could be due to a few things and not the birth contol :p synphasic was a good one for me as well.

You're doctor would probably be able to give you a better idea of what's best for you, but I think just changing to something new will be what your body probably needs.

Good luck!

Thanks. I was on alesse at first but then I switched to loestrin and then I switched to demulen, and that made me too sick, so then I switched to marvelon
