The virus that I have it is called java/byte verify. It supposely in the documents somewhere. My hubsand will get it figure out when he gets home. Which will probably be wednesday. I forgot he has a seminar to go to tuesday and he doesn't know how long it will last. But as soon as he gets home he will probably figure it out. At least I hope he can figure it out and we don't have to get a new computer. Sometimes you have to get a new computer because of the damage done by a virus.

I think you will fins the forum is not full of viruses.
A while back there was an issue with an exploitation but that wouldn't infect any computers using the forum although some may flag up that there is something on the site (but still not on your comp ie norton will say bloodhound but that is nortons waying of saying it saw something I didn't understand)

there have been a couple of issues where users online at the same time have had viruses passed to them from *another user* via the forum but not from the forum itself.

I think I might have figured out where the virus is coming from. Now I could be wrong that is why when my hubsand gets home he is going to check it out. He is good with things about computers. But I think it might be from where you go to post pictures. Don't you have to go to a different place to download a picture on here. Because I didn't get the virus until I went to a post that had a picture on it. But now I don't forget I could be wrong. I was just wondering if that is how people keeps getting it. As soon as my hubsand gets it figured. That is if he can. I will let you know.

I found out how to get rid of it off my puter....You have to delete the temp internet files in the internet options part....That'll get rid of it. I haven't had it pop up since!! :)

I am going to wait until my hubsand gets home. Which will be soon. And let him figure it out. Because I am afraid that I will mess up the computer and have more work for him to do. I also hate to mess up the computer and him not have one to do his school work on. He has a paper he has to do and turn in. In a couple of weeks.

One thing I have noted is that it doesn't seem to be an actual virus. I have the sygate firewall (can be downloaded free), and it asks and then tell me what it blocks. I have had "realplayer" being blocked a lot when I am on this forum. Realplayer may have some build-in spyware that tracks your online activity and somehow slows the computers down. Since I blocked realplayer, I have not had problems on here.
