I am going to tell you all my story here and I need your advice.....I went on the birth control pill on May 20th, because I didn't want my period for my wedding that was happening on June 20, I stopped taking the pill right after my wedding on June 23. I had unprotected sex on my wedding night only.....It is now July 29 and I have still not gotten my period yet.....I have taken 2 blood tests and they both came out negative but they were both taken pretty early. I feel pregnant, I had light abdominal pain a while ago but none lately, I have sore boobs, I spotted 2-4 weeks after I finished taking the birth control pill, I just FEEL PREGNANT! I am wanting to know if anyone has ever had an experience where the blood tests have been wrong......please help me.....my doc says to come back in 2 weeks but I am going crazy...........help!

My friend had the same thing happen, but she took a home preg. Test and it said possitive and the doc. Test said negative. Give it a few more weeks and then take another test. Good luck. P.S. My friend was pregnant and noe has a one year old.

A woman's intuition is pretty accurate sometimes, but that's nothing to be stressed out for.

Relax and just do a few more pregnancy tests over the next couple of weeks.

Dont worry

Just off the pill, your periods can be erratic. Some women it takes a few months before they even have a period. I stopped bcps 2 months ago, and my first period was in 5 weeks, this cycle, I didn't ovulate until cycle day 21 (tracking basal body temperatures).

Also, stopping the pill can cause many symptoms similar to early pregnancy signs. For example, i've been nauseous since my last period, and i've had cramps, backache, and tender breasts all through this cycle but I know i'm not pregnant (have not had any accidents with our condoms, thankfully).

This sounds like a pill issue to me. If you do indeed stop the pill in the manner you did it can def. Cause your body to have mixed signals and delay ovulation and then in return your flow. Give it a couple of weeks and test again but remember when you play around with the pill it will play right back.

When I got off bc I had two periods and anyways bc makes you not ovulate so it would be wierd if you did get preggo so fast and your body got back to normal already
