Q: Will It Still Be Affective?

I've been taking my birth contol (pills) for about a year and 1/2, im also bulimic but I wont throw up if I have takin my pill already, will throwing up,even if the pill is well in my system, decreaces the effectiveness?

I'm also bulimic, and taking birth control among other medications. I asked my nurse practitioner if my pills would still be effective considering I am bulimic. She said that as long as I took them an hour to 2 hours before purging, that I would be okay. So, just make sure that you don't purge until a couple hours after you take your birth control. They should still be effective.

I wish you luck, and that your bulimia doesn't completely control you. It's hard...Be strong.
