Q: Kidney Stone Question

Hi. I've already passed two kidney stones, and in both those instances I experienced awful pain. Now, I am curious as to symptoms of pain if the stone is still in the kidney. I have been experiencing lower back pain on the left side, and a constant dull pain in my lower abdomen stretching to the groin area and sometimes affecting my testicles. I, however have not had the extreme pain that I had before. I went to the urologist yesterday and am getting a ct scan on monday, but I find the time passing so slow, and have somehow convinced myself I have cancer or something like that. When I urinate the dull pain is pronounced but no worse, almost like a pulled muscle. Any comments greatly appreciated.

:( mike, my husband has had 30 some odd kidney stones since he was 18 and he is now 52. What you are describing sounds exactly like a kidney stone as he describes them. Sometime, they hurt extremely bad and other times there is a lot of discomfort. I'm no doctor, but chances are, you have another stone moving. His doctors have told him that the pain is not from the stone itself, but from the back pressure of not being able to finish urinately.
