Hi,

i am 19 and have bone pain, it's worse when I walk. Once every now and then, I have abdominal pain too. Nowadays, I am always tired, am short of breath, and have headaches. It really isn't fun because if I start walking for like 10 minutes, my leg bone hurts (it hurts from the inside of the bone).I haven't injured myself and don't have osteoposorisis or anything. Do I have bone cancer ? I am really worried because all you hear about now is cancer and I don't now if this is bad or not. Please help me.

Thanks,
kelly l.

Bone Cancer
I dont want to scare you, but I reallly think you should get that checked out. My mother had bone cancer called osteocircoma its a cancerous tumor on the bone and it started off like a arthrites pain and it ended up being cancer and she had to have her leg amputated. When we were at the doctor the doctor said that bone cancer especailly this type is usually found in young people: teens and young adults. I dont wanna be rude either but if you have any weight gain lately or you are overweight it could be that too. But please go get that checked out!

Dear helping hand,

i am really really grateful that you actually warned me of such a thing because otherwise I would have went on doing noraml things until it's too late. Better safe than sorry. I am going to get it check out right away. I weigh about 99 pounds and haven't gained any weight lately though. The worst thing is that I have these small bumps on my leg (it's not really visible or anything but I can feel it). Is the osteosarcoma thingy severe?

Again, thank you for the helpful answer.

Kelly

Bone Cancer
Yes kelly osterosarcoma is very severe its cancer if you dont catch it on time you can die if the cancer spreads. So please make sure you go get it looked at. It also could be knots in the bone due to working yourself hard or standing all day. I had little bumps in the shins of my legs but it was from standing all day the doctor said but it didnt hurt. If those bumps hurt go get it checked out!

Love

Bone Tumor
Hi there,
my name is emely, I had the same symptoms as you, didn't hurt much first, just after have using the leg a lot or falling or slipping over. But then in january I fell badly and thought I had torn the ligament or something.

Went to a doctor who sent me to different specialists etc, finally to do an mri scan and x-ray.. 2 days later my doctor called me and said I had a bone tumor called a giant cell tumor. It had eaten 10 cm of my bone and is now replaced with bone cement. I have a lot of metall in my leg and can hardly walk normally. This was like 8 months ago.. Will never have full capacity in my leg again.

I can see you posted this a long time ago, but if you had something similar to what I had, can you please send me an email as I really would like to talk to someone that has experienced a similar catastrophy...
cheers
emely

Im not sure if I am experiencing the same things as you.
I am almost 13; I weigh over 100 pounds.
When I walk, my bones under my ankle hurts, when it touches the floor. I don't always experience it, not when I am doing sports, mostly when I am walking normally on the street or something.

Do I have any problems?
