Dope Smoker Gone Mad

I used to smoke dope all day every day, even though I only used about a gram a day, I still find it hard to cope not having any bongs. I miss the morning bong and one after meals, it was easy cutting back, but going without is very difficult. Now it's been months since i've given up and i'm wondering will I have long term damage ?

i smoked like 7 grams a day at one point, my roomate smokes about fourteen bong hits a day, of some damn good weed.

I got one of the best neurofeedback people out there and quiting was so freaking easy.

Since you have already quit, then the hard part is over.

Now just get rid of the cravings with biofeedback.... Expect to take like 20 sessions.

Later...

Hello zoobone,

most people who become addicted to pot have a preexisting condition called hypoglycemia. This is a nutritional disorder that interferes with the absorption and metabolism of glucose as a source of biological energy. The brain needs this energy to synthesize the 'feel-good' neurotransmitters and hormones to make you feel happy and content.

When a person has hypoglycemia unstable blood sugar levels feed the brain with erratic energy levels. This causes the brain to send stress hormones - such as adrenaline - into the system in an attempt to stabilize these sugar levels to the brain. But these stress hormones are also the symptoms of many forms of mental illness, such a depression, anxiety attacks and so on. Thc is an antidote to adrenaline and so this is why you are addicted.

The active ingredient of marijuana is thc, which is fat soluble and very difficult to excrete from the body. It may take six months for residues of thc to travel to the brain and clog up cell membranes. Also marijuana can trigger a schizophrenic reaction in some people, especially when mixed with other drugs.

Thus it is important to withdraw from marijuana.

If you find that hard it is because most people using marijuana have endogenous depression.

Hypoglycemic people tend to overproduce adrenaline and hence the aim is to reduce these stress hormones. This is done by the adoption of the hypoglycemic diet, that aims at normalizing blood sugar levels, insulin and stress hormone levels.

Please discuss with your doctor, counsellor or therapist.
