Q: Stomach Problems After Eating
asked by: Walker on January 31st, 2005

Well, i've tried searching but still have questions.

For the last year i've been dealing with an upset stomach. Every time I eat a meal i'll feel sick afterwards for the next hour or so, burping, gassy, and the general feeling of the food sitting like a brick. Most mornings I will have an upset stomach that will last a couple hours aswell, doesn't seem to matter what or if I eat.,

i've been to the doctor a number of times and have been prescribed pantoloc, nexium, and motilium, all of which eased the problem while taking the meds, but a week after they're gone the problem returns, i've had a blood test and apparntly all is good there.

What is wrong here??

Stomach Problem
You should try to get tested for a gluten allergy or gallstones/sludge in your gallbladder -i have a wheat allergy (gluten allergy) and have similar problems when I eat bread. Also I had my gallbladder out-it helped a little but not 100%
good luck!

What kind of doctor have you gone to? Have you seen a gastroenterologist? If not I would try to go. Those meds only mask symptoms. I agree with it sounding like something related to your gall bladder, but it may be something else.

Dear Walker;
Hey my name is crystal and I also live in moncton, I have been having stomach problems since june, been to the doctor many times saying that it could be hp(hyperbacteria h. Pylori) that is a bacterial infection in your stomach, gallstones, bladder, ulcer, and everything has came back negative and all good. Well dont believe anything doctors say sometime, go get a second opinion cause you might need one.

I generally feel sick everyday, get stomach pains often, dont enjoy life as I use to, tired and work alot at work. They gave me three kinda of meds one being : prevacid, rhinidine, pariet and those are suppose to treat everything. If you are not stressed out then you should definetely get a second opinion cause that doesnt sound good. Or go see a herbologist cause remember doctors prescribe pills whils herbologist prescribe healthy lifestlye which could clear it. Good luck!

Crystal
