Tingle Foots
Hello. I believe that it could be pressure on a nerve. I have tingle foot.
(it only happens in one foot). I had major problems with the sciatic nerve due to disc pressure in lower spine. The pain extended down the leg to the foot. The pain was very intense. I had 2 back surgeries. The loss of feeling in my calve and partially the foot, (with tingling), was caused by nerve damage the doctors said.
Nerve troubles can extend and skip places along the way! It's kind of weird to think that something at a distance can affect another area, such as the possibilty of nerve pressure around the disks in the lower spine may be affecting your foot.

I'm sure that there are several other reasons for the tingling sensations,
raynauds? Hope this helps, or others post their experiences to help you.

Hi, thanks everso for your reply, very helpful. I do suffer from raynauds but have only experienced it in my hand. However, I don't have any discolouration with my feet or indeed pain just this strange sensation. I do currently have a lower back problem, having arrived on saturday but had the tingling before with no back pain and indeed over the last two weeks with no back pain. Can you have pressure on the never hence the tingling without experiencing back pain?!?!

It's just that you want to ignore it and then you read symptons etc. Etc. And your mind runs away with you!!

Your words are comforting so thanks for the time you took to respond.

Regards

Tingles
It could still be nerve pressure. My back doesnt hurt but the disk pressure affects my leg in different areas. The problem may still be nerve pressure. It could be along the sciatic nerve at any point.
Are you diabetic? You claim you do have raynauds too.
Maybe it's worth getting it checked out. It can't hurt!

Do you have diabetes? If so, it could be periperal neuropathy.

I'm a 48 year old mom. I started feeling tingling in my pointer finger. I went to a neurologist who did a emg and found no nerve damage. After that I started feeling tingling on my toes and around my feet. I went back for another emg of legs and feet, and found no nerve damage. Since then I sometimes feel like something is crawling on my scalp and sometimes my buttocks and thigh. I am really freaking out now and have become obsessed with these health web sights, looking up all kinds of scary stuff. I've become a big bundle of nerves and now I don't know if its nerves of something else. Anyone out there ever experience anything like this. Please reply.
Thanks. Worried

I know this started out on 01/30/05 but have any of you been tested for diabetes as there is such a thing called diabetic neuropathy. It could also be stress. I am no dr but it never hurts to get a second or third opinion.
Even sometimes a chiropractor can help and acupuncture, talk to your primary care provider about your options.
Good luck!
Sincerely!
Sandy

i have a friend that has ms, and this sounds kinda familiar. Look into it and find a neurologist that specializes in it.

Tingles In Feet
I am currently being treated for secondary liver cancer - I'm over the worst, and the prognosis is great - but I've been prescribed a fierce drug called oxiplatin. Normal side effects are tingling in the feet, fingertips, tongue and throat, especially when in contact with cool or cold conditions. It is a neurological condition, and will probably dissipate or disappear once I finish with the drug. But maybe someone could help me with something I've noticed this morning. I seem to be getting what I can only define as 'cramps' in my feet. There is no pain. I can't really find a suitable analogy for description purposes - it's almost as if someone is trying to tug off your stockings or socks. It's almost like your ankles and feet have taken on a life of their own, and occasionally 'breathe in'! It's weird. And to make matters worse, I can provoke this occurrence by nodding my head forward. It doesn't happen if I rotate my head left or right, nor lean my head backwards! It only happens on nodding forward.

Anyone got any answers, please?

Re: Tingles In Feet
I have the same symptoms after having chemo for colon cancer. Did you ever get over it or did you get a diagnosis? Mine seems to be related to calcium build-up in my spine that is pinching on my spinal cord and causing the feet tingle.
