Gum Grafting, Please Help!!!

Hi to everybody,

i am 34 and I live in greece.I have a problem with one of my front teeth. The gum that supports that tooth has moved away. The tooth is quite stable at the moment but I dont know for how long. I have no pain and it is really difficult to clean. A doctor suggested to take some mucous (skin) from the top of my palate and add it there. Do you think that this will solve my problem. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Is the surgerry going to be successful? Will it last?

I am really worried about all that questions.


I would be very gratefull if you could help (advise) me.

If somebody has had gum grafting please let me know of the outcome and all the details.
