Oh my heels hurt so bad! I was wondering
how everyone delt with having their heels
feel like they are going to fall off? I
stand on my feet for 8 hours a day at work
and I have to walk about a mile to get to
school. So I was wondering what type of
shoe ya'll wear, I usually wera flats
because im not allowed to wear tennis
shoes to work, or sandals. Is there any
end to my heel anguish?

I dont know if they have this name brand
where you are but I bought rocket dogs
(shoes) I tried my adidas running shoes,
ugs everything while at work but the
rocketdogs were uber comfy!.. Can you get
a stool at work? Although working is good
for you standing on your feet for long
periods of time is bad and you are
retaining alot in your legs and feet and
that is one of the reasons your heels
hurt... And have breaks every 2 hours and
when you do have breaks evelate your
feet... And the walking s good for
you!... How far along are you? You can
try a maternity belt to keep some weight
off your legs

Yeah, you shouldn't be standing that long.
The walking is good though. Where do
you work? How far along are you? Your
job should be able to relieve you of some
of that standing.

I work at a retail store and I am not
allowed to sit down. One day when
everything was really slow I went in the
back where the dressing rooms are and had
just sat down when my boss came around the
corner and about had a heart attack! She
told me that it made me look lazy so no I
cant get a stool and I only gets one break
half way throught that day. Is this bad
for the baby too or just me?

it's not good for either of you. If it's
just retail, I would look for another job.
Your boss should be more understanding.

You need to get ahold of the labor board
exceptions can be made... You need to get
a note from your doctor telling them you
need light duty. They can not deny you
that. Also if they give you a hard time
you can always file for unemployment until
after the baby is born if they fire you..
Who do yo work for??

cali its a state law for 10-15 minute
breaks every 2-3 hours... So figure it
out hun
it strains on the baby too!

I work at agaci too, and I really need the
money or else I cant possible pay for the
baby. Im a little concerend because after
a long day at work if I keep my feet up
the whole next day the baby's movements a
limited. My doc says it is because she is
tired but im worried that I am stressing
her out and if I am how do I find even
ground with my boss and my needs?

Look up some of the laws for your state as
far as preg women and working. Like
tanya said have your doc write you a note.
They may be upset when you let them know
you know your rights, but you have to
think about you and the baby. It's just
a job. You can find another one. Don't
stress about it. Have you looked into
wic or any other programs that can help
you with the baby?
