What Is Happening to Me???
Posted: 01-28-05 10:57am

I had a partial hysterectomy about 6 years ago, for the past 2 weeks I have had breat tenderness, breast leakage, weight gain, and I feel like I did when I was pregnant with my daughter. I feel pregnant. I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. All I can figure is I might be preg. In my tubes. I never knew this was possible after a partial hysterectomy. Has anyone ever had this happen to them or had these problems??? Is it possible??

Im assumeing depending on what was all removed that yes you could be pregnant. Where is kia breeze she will be the excellent one to give you advice on this. I would def contact a doctor to get some test done as well. Esp if you are preg. In your tubes. My mom had the same thing happen to her and she almost died because the one tube bursted and she started himmorageing so I dont want to scare you but please go seek medical attention just to be safe then sorry.... Kit

I would call your doc asap as any sort of pregnancy after a hysterectomy can prove very difficult for woman and fetus.

I never knew it was possible, i'm really hoping that it may just be my hormones going crazy!! I've searched the net and i've read things that said yes you can get preg. In tubes, and others saying it's possible but unlikely. I've made a dr's appt. For tuesday, so i'm hoping he can tell me something to ease my mind. After the partial, I never thought this would be something i'd ever have to worry about again.... Keeping my fingers crossed that maybe my hormones are just going crazy!! (hopefully)

When you said partial hysterectomy do you mean that only one set of your filiopian tubes are tied? Or both??

Glad to hear that you made a doctor's appointment. Because you can get pregnant in your tubes.

Gosh, what can I say. I don't want to scare you but if you start feeling bad or strange, get to the er. Let us know how you are doing. I hope it is your hormones.

Sincerely,
sandy
