I've gotta get a hernia operation and am on humira; a big-time tnf inhibitor (reduces immune system). I get various opinions on how long to stay off the humira before the operation however sense that they really don't know because the drug is so new. Advice is usually to stay off the drug for three weeks before surgury "like methletrexate" which has been around for a long time. Is there anyone out there that takes humira and has undergone surgery that would be willing to share there insight? Capn
