Hi I went and had my spin checked in 03 and was told I have a slipped disc and a bulged disc. One in my middle back and the other in my lower back. They suggested to go get accupuncture and so I did. At that time I was having the pain in the middle of my back. Now it's the lower part. Well my new ins. Doesn't cover that and I am having the pain in my lower back. It's the most painful feeling ever. It happen at about 3 or 4 am I wake up and can barely move. I then ice my back and usually fall back asleep. My new doc. Told me to do stretches because my thigh muscles are tight and that can cause the pain. Well I do my stretches everyday 2 times a day and still am having the pain. My question is: does anyone now anything else I can do to help the pain or make this go away?

You need to continue streching but you may also need medications to assist you in relaxing your muscles,

i am currently taking soma and motrin for muscle pain, spasms, and swelling. It would be very good for your doctor to perscribe meds and pt for you to help get this under control.
