I had my gallbladder removed two weeks ago due to a stone and diseased gall bladder. Since then, I still suffer some of the symptoms I had prior. Sever back pain behind the lower ribs, nausea (still eating very little foods broths, vegitables etc.) back pain mostly occurs at night when I am tired and after evening meal,i have occasional hurried bowel movements cramps after eating. I stopped taking pain meds 4 days ago but I am temted to return due to the pain. It has even made my vision blur when it is bad enough and my neck gets stiff and leads to a headache. I have had numerous tests,ct of abdomen and pelvis full blood tests. The surgeon did see white spots on my liver but biopsy was negative. Any help or suggestions would be helpful. I have lost 30 pounds since october (a good thing I guess) but there is a limit. Please help!

Post Gall Bladder Surgery, Pain Left Side
I just had my gall bladder out 2 weeks ago. I've had this nagging uncomfortable feeling on my left side just under the bottom rib. Has anyone had these symptoms?

I Too Suffered These Symptoms
Hi. I hope I can be of some help! I had my gall bladder removed almost 3 years ago. As for me, I still have pain every now and then in my back. It was so bad at first that I thought the surgeon left one of the surgical tools inside! I was wrong but it sure felt that way! I also suffered from sudden bowel movements -that I am actually still suffering from on occasion. There are times when I can actually feel the clamps inside me. It doesn't hurt but it is annoying! I would recommend calling your doctor again. It took me about 6 months to finally bring this to my doctor's attention. I had just had my first child 7 weeks before this surgery so I was pre occupied. I had to have a colonoscopy (doesn't hurt -just slightly embarrassing) and found that my small intestines were infected. Don't hesitate calling the doctor. You can't be too careful!
