Sonogram Supposed to Hurt???
Posted: 01-27-05 19:35pm

I recently had a sonogram and it hurt in certian spots on my belly when she passed the sonogram thing over my stomach. She also seemed to be pressing it down really hard, was she being unprofesional? Is it supposed to hurt? While she was doing that and I was lying flat I felt very faint and about to throw up, but then she raised the top of the table so my top half was elevated and I felt better, but my stomach still hurt when she passed the sonogram thing over me. Some spots on my belly feel swollen and hurt sometimes. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have felt that way. They told me that they had to push hard to see what they needed to. It was because they where having a difficult time seeing and it was causing a shadow so they had to press harder... So you arent the only one...........
