hi there. I can tell u for a fact it
cost 15,000 dollars in the state of tenn.
I can also tell u that u will get bills
from about 6 different places. Call them
tell them u have no insurance. Some will
eat part of the bill. Even the hospital
will. U will have to fill out tons of
forms but worth it. My hubby had surgery
in sept, 2004. They dont tell u unless u
ask. But hospitals get grants and they
can write off the bill if ur accepted.
Its called urgent care here in tenn. But
all states have it, and as for dr and
other bills that u will get from the
surgery if u tell them u have no
insurance most will work with u. But
dont get to excited cause theres always at
least one cold hearted one that will be
rude. Just send what u can every month
and theres nothing they can do to u. We
are paying 5 bucks a month to each one.
But the hospital bill it self is cleared
cause we applied for the urgent care. We
had to show proof of income and alot of
other crap. But the hospital bill it self
was over 9,000$. He went into 1 hospital
and had to rush him to another. So we got
bills from everyone..Lol. Dr, ambulance,
the dr that puts u to sleep, the stuff
they use to put u to sleep, someone that
read the results from test before
surgery. All together it cost about
15,000. Good luck. And dont let the
stress get to u. We didnt make 1st
payment for 3 months. Take time and
heal. Then deal with the bills.

My wife had her appendix removed in
northern california at a non-profit
hospital. We have insurance so we are in
good shape but when we looked at what they
would bill someone off the street with no
insurance we were flattened. They wanted
to charge 40k.
