Are Laws Morally Correct And Right Just Because They Exist?

Just because something is legal in your
city, state or country, does that make it
right?
At one time, it was illegal for a black
person to own property. It was the law.
Was it right?
Recently, it was illegal for a black
person to marry a white person. It was
the law (and only recently appealed
alabama). Was it right?
Abortion is legal - the mutilation and
destruction of a human being by the one
person on earth trusted to protect and
keep that baby safe - but it's still
legal. Does that make it right?

There are some laws I really don't agree
with.
Here's a funny site though with many
stupid real laws.

I feel that it depends on what law and
what the situation is, there are some you
can bend and there are some you can break,
just don't get caught. I have been all
over the. U.S.A. And in other
countries, it is different wherever you
go.
Sincerely,
sandy

Legality doesn't make something right, and
illegality doesn't make something wrong.

Life is not black and white. It would be
nice if we could bundle every situation
into a neat little package and say this is
this way and that is that way.I an not
saying abortion is right because it is
legal.I am not even saying it is right in
every situation.I am saying it is right
that a woman can choose what is right for
her at that given time.

May I Say Something? Abortion Is Wrong!

To all of the people that think that
abortion is good and right; you are so
wrong. Have any of you ever thought about
if your mother's had decided that you
would be too much of a hassle and that it
would be easier to just pay a quack some
money and get rid of you? It isn't your
fault that your mother couldn't control
herself and had sex, the result of which
you came along. You and people like you
are the reason that this world is so
screwed up! I do not care what the
stupid "educated" people say I have been
raised and taught that you deal with the
consequences of your actions no matter how
hard it is to deal with them. There is a
greater purpose over what we can
understand and what we do now will come
back and haunt us, if we make unwise
decisions about our lives and the lives of
our children, the way we raise them, the
amount of disipline, etc...
No matter what argument you or anyone else
comes up with it won't be good enough to
change my mind. I also have been raised
with a conscience and a good batch of
morals.
Also what no one ever mentions is that
99.9% of the woman who get abortions
suffer from depression and guilt and given
the choice again they wouldn't do it.

don't come here and tell other people
their opinions are wrong. No ones going
to do it to you. Debate if you want, but
you don't get to tell people that their
wrong just because they don't agree with
you.

im not sure if I should even read the rest
of this. Quack? Lol. Anyways, if my
mother hadn't had an abortion, I wouldn't
be here, so no I don't think about that.
But thanks for asking :)

ah, this argument..Again. Its also not
the mothers fault if the condom breaks.

honey, people having abortions isn't why
the world is screwed up. Lets not go
there. If you wanna talk about why the
world is messed up, lets talk about people
putting bombs in their shoes and going on
a plane, lets talk about people riding
planes into buildings and killing
thousands of people.

you only know whats 'unwise' for you. You
don't get to tell people whats unwise for
them. Especially when you don't know
them.

im not trying to change your mind. But
the same goes for you. You're not going
to change my mind. Im never going to
think its wrong for a woman to make a
decision about her own body that doesn't
concern anyone else. But don't talk down,
and call names to people who disagree with
you. I know you haven't I was just
saying, everyones opinion matters, whether
you agree with it or not. Not everyone
has to think the same.

please post on here where you got those
'statistics.' thanks. I know a lot of
woman who've had abortions, I guess they
must be part of that *small* percentage.

Sorry sweety, but 99.9% or women who have
an abortion suffer from depression or
guilt? That is so very untrue. State
your source? Didn't think so.

Hmm, purple seems to be another
personal-morally driven 'outraged'

facts.

Obviously laws aren't moral or right just
because they exist. They are made by man
and god knows we are far from flawless.
"the one person trusted to protect it"
ummm, if a woman takes precautions to
avoid pregnancy and falls pregnant anyway,
she didn't ask to be trusted with
anything. I am sure that a lot of
abortions are had because the woman
doesn't feel ready (or doesn't ever want)
to be a mother, therefore "trusted" with
another life.
No, abortion isn't perfect. It is one of
those very, very difficult decisions that
one must deal with. That's right, one.
It isn't an easy decision for anyone and
who are we to judge? Is that moral or
right? No.
If a person is against abortion, fine,
don't have one, and if you want to try to
talk someone you know out of having one
then great. As long as you don't judge
or be crude about it. But don't judge
those who do or try to make it impossible
for them to have that choice. That isn't
moral or right either.
