You know.. If pregnancy is such a
beautiful thing.. Then why do people call
a tubal ligation a sterilization? Doesnt'
sterile mean clean? So if being infertile
is clean, is being fertile dirty? And
what's with "get fixed".. Are we broken
if we're fertile? I thought we were in a
way, meant to breed so why would making
ourselves permanently unable to.. Mean
being "fixed"? And didn't they consider a
menstruating woman to be dirty back in the
old days?
Yeah.. I guess pregnancy isn't all that
great if the people who are firtle are
broken and dirty
i know this sounds silly but seriously..
Think about it..

You've got a point there. But, my
pregnancy was wonderful. Although there
were some complications I loved every
minute of it :)
what I was wondering, was are all pro-life
people vegetarians? Because if not,
then..Isn't that kinda hypocritical?

Good points bd, but I don't beleive
pregnancy is a "dirty" thing......I know I
won't have my period for 9 months, does
that make me cleaner?? Lol!!
I eat meat~it's yummy!! Lol!! I beleive
it not to be hypocritical becuase god gave
humans power of animals.....
Do people who have abortions eat the
fetus?? (not directed to anyone~just a
random comment)

Well what about the poor baby cows? They
deserve to live to, and they're killed
after they're born. What about the mommy
cow, her baby was killed.
But you eat meat?
lol

It was just something that popped up while
I was reading another debate were a
prolife person was telling someone else to
"get fixed"..

To make sterile : as a : to cause (land)
to become unfruitful b (1) : to deprive of
the power of reproducing (2) : to make
incapable of germination c : to make
powerless or useless usually by
restraining from a normal function,
relation, or participation d : to free
from living microorganisms
don't see a whole lot about "cleanliness"
there...

<<<cows are not humans. I said
it before, and i'll say it again, and
again. Humans reign over animals despite
what steen insists. He seems to think we
are on equal levels and that is also
silly. >>>
well, if we're going to start bringing up
things that happend years ago. Lets bring
up the fact that people used to be
animals. Mmmmmkay? Cows are not humans,
and humans are not cows. They're living
things just like humans, so if you're
saying that little "babies" shouldn't get
aborted, then you'd support the fact that
cows shouldn't get slaughtered for you to
eat. So people who get abortions are
selfish, so are people who kill animals
then right? Lol

right this argument is really daft, heres
the thing, what is worst a human killing an
animal to survive,or a human killing a
human because they dont feel its the
time.Right are you saying that to eat meat
to live is the same as having an abortion
for a non life threatening reason{as I
agree that abortion should be available
for life threatening reasons,not social
reasons,but thats another thread}.
We are still animals but what sets us
apart from other animals are two things,
1 we have thumbs.
2 we are the only animals on this planet
that kill each other for reasons other
than survival
no other animals do this
what you are really saying with this post
is if you do not agree with abortion then
you should starve to death, does that sound
sensible
now this argument has been used hundreds
of times please it is not valid for either
side so lets leave it alone

God gave humans the power over
animals....And kourtney I believe you said
something very important....
Well what about the poor baby cows? They
deserve to live to, and they're killed
after they're born. What about the mommy
cow, her baby was killed
after they're born.....Abortion deals with
the animal before it's born......

So you rather have death after birth where
whatever it is that is dying can actually
understand what's going on and feel
everything?

I personaly would like no death through
termination but I know it will never be
outlawed so is it not better to fight for
safer terminations or at least stricter
guidlines.
Please note this is only an opinion.

Ok let me get this straight.. You say
it's ok for you to kill cows for food
becuase iyo.. They are not
significant..
We say it's ok to abort because we believe
that the zef is not nearly as important as
the woman..Meaning it's not significant.
What makes your opinion better than
ours?
Just to be clear.. I eat meat.. I love
meat and I will choose steak over salad
anyday.. And I have no problem with those
who eat meat and the only reason we use
this argument is because you all like to
play the "but it has a heartbeat" card and
the "abortion is selfish" card.. Well the
cow had a hearbeat and how is it not
selfish to slaughter it for your own
personal gain? Again, I will repeat
this.. Selfishness does not mean you are
a bad person.. Not necesarrily at least..
It depends on the situation. All
selfishness is, is putting your needs over
others and how is deciding to slaughter a
cow so you can eat meat instead of letting
it live freely not selfish? The cow can
feel what's happening to it and
understand... I wouldn't say the fetus
can not because truthfully I don't know
but I will say that it is definate that
the cow feels while fetal pain is
questionable.

abortion is already the
safest surgical procedure in the us. The
unsafe abortions are the illegal ones.
But yes, it would be great to make it even
safer. One way would be to decrease the
woman's stress. And a major source of
stress is to have to run the gauntlet of
vicious prolife protesters at the clinic
entrance. So if you truly want to
improve the situation, you should agree
that the protesters need to go away.
Well, that's nice of you. Much
appreciated.
