Ok after I read what you said mumof2 to
the guy wondering about his girlfriend and
her periods I wanted to tell u my
situation and see waht you or anyone else
thought ok about a month ago or maybe a
lil longer I started spotting for like
four days it was nothing like a period
well then about a week or so ago I had the
worst I mean worst pains in my stomach to
the point I was on my knees crying and
this went on for hours well it finally
stopped and ever since I have been
cramping in my stomach day to day not bad
enough to hurt just know im cramping well
I was due to start my period a few days
ago and havent started since so me and my
husband were kinda worried that I may be
pregnant again I already have a 5 month
old and I am on birth control . I do good
taking them so the only reason I have to
believe I may be pregnant again is bc of
the cramping and anbsence of my period and
ive being peeing like every hour now and
feeling so tired all the time and ive been
nauseous alot lately which were all signs
I had in my last pregnancy and I was
scared that if I am and all that pain I
was having something may be wrong I havent
took a test yet bc I waiting to see if I
started but I havent yet. But what do ya
think? I really hope I am not though my
daughter is only 5 months old.

Hi, well from what you have written it
would seem unlikley that you are pregnant,
from my own knowledge of birth control and
the effects of child birth I would be
inclined to beleive that there are 3
reasons you may be having these
problems,........ The first is that the
type of bc you are on is not right for
you...... Although you may have used it
b4 pregnancy changes how your body reacts
to things like bc pills/ implants/
injections..... Also the implant ( if
thats what you are using) has side effects
such as weight gain and can stop or
shorten your period, all chemically based
bc can interfere with your periods,
leading to water retention, cramps,
fatigue and feeling ill..........
The second reason could be that you may
have a small peice of membrane ( the sack
that held your baby) or placenta left
inside you after you gave birth and it has
moved into a postion that is blocking your
cervix and not allowing the blood to flow
freely, that can somethines happen,
although it is rare. The 3rd reason is bc
is not always reliable, antibiotics,
gastro, throwing up and a number of other
things can make it ineffective........
Even if you do take the pill every
day.........
My best advice to you would be to go to
the docters and discuss the problems you
are having at the moment, if nothing elce
they will be able to put your mind at ease
about the pregnancy issue....

Thanks actually that kinda puts my mind at
east a lil to think it could be other
things then pregnancy because I really
dont want to be again.
I called to make an appt but my dr is on
maternity leave and wont be back til the
beginning of april . So I have to find
another doctor to go to.
I kinda had a thought of it being the pill
not right for me bc I had spotting during
the fist month of taking them and a friend
of mine told me that if I had break though
like that then it could be a sign that the
birth control are not strong enough for me
or sumthing like that. And I also read
on here today when I was looking up stuff
about it that alot of weight loss couls
cause me not to have my period and I have
lost a lot of weight lately the pills
didndt make me gain any weight from the
time I went in the hospital to have her I
was right at 150 lbs and now I weigh 99
lbs and I lost it mostly all in one month
about two months ago. So I dunno I plan
to go to the doc to ask all these
questions but wanted some advice and
thoughts to help ease my mind until I can
get to the doctor.
But anyhow thanks for the advice
